
Wings Goalie Brandon Miller Named NLL Defensive Player of the Week

Philadelphia Wings goalie Brandon Miller has been named Defensive Player of the Week by the National Lacrosse League (NLL) for the third time this season.
Miller was instrumental in the Wings 10-9 playoff clinching victory against the division leading Toronto Rock in overtime at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday. The veteran net minder recorded 48 saves, including his 4,000th career save en route to an 84% save rate.
Philadelphia's defense has been anchored by the goaltender in his 13th NLL season, as Miller has accumulated 540 saves and an 11.63 goal against average while picking up seven wins for the Wings this season.
The Wings travel to Washington on Saturday to take on the Stealth at Comcast Arena in Everett at 10 p.m. in a bid to win a home playoff game for the first time in 12 seasons.
