Phoenix, Arizona - The Dallas Wings (17-18) fell to the Phoenix Mercury (15-20), 86 - 74, at Footprint Center, Friday night.
Veteran Kayla Thornton led the way for the Wings, scoring her 1,500th point in her career on a first quarter bucket, and finished with 14 points, including a perfect 6-for-6 in the first half. She was joined in double figures by Allisha Gray (13), Ty Harris (11), Marina Mabrey (10) and Isabelle Harrison (10).
Dallas ends the regular season against the Los Angeles Sparks (13-22) on Sunday, August 14, at 6:00 p.m. CT on Bally Sports Southwest Extra and NBA TV.
Notables:
With a bucket in the first, Kayla Thornton passed 1,500 career points, finishing with 14.
Allisha Gray scored 13 points, her team-high tying 27th game in double-figures. She also added two blocks, giving her 24 on the year.
Guard Ty Harris netted 11 points, reaching double-digit points for the third time this year.
Marina Mabrey recorded 10 points, her sixth-straight game with 10 or more.
Forward Isabelle Harrison scored 10 points.
