The first period the Wings started out hot. Scoring two goals in the games first 8 minutes giving them an early 2-0 lead. Those goals coming from Bennett Koupal netting his second on the year. The second goal coming from Alexander Gullichsen on the powerplay giving him his 17th goal on the year. Moore was able to stop all 6 of Bismarcks shots. Hunter Garvey was only able to stop 5/7 shots coming from the Wings. The Wings went 1 of 2 on the power play in the period.
The second period had the Wings only scoring one goal in the period this time coming from Luke Backel making it a 3-0 lead. That goal was Backels sixth goal on the year but second of the weekend. The Wings were shutout on the power play in the second but were able to keep Bismarck off the board during their two penalty kills. Moore was able to stop all of Bismarck's 9 shots in the period, while Garvey stopped 8/9.
In the third period the Wings once again would get another goal late in the period on an empty netter coming from Nikolai Tishkevich netting him his 17th goal on the season as well. But Bismarck would stop the hopes of Cole Moore getting a shutout with a goal coming from Drew Holt with only 54 seconds left of the game.
The Wings will be back at the Odde next weekend March 31st and April 1st when they take on the Minot Minotauros who are only 4 points behind the Wings for the final playoff spot.
