Wings Downed 79-70 by Aces
August 2, 2020 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA)
Dallas Wings News Release
The Dallas Wings (2-2) folded to the Las Vegas Aces (2-2) 79-70 Sunday night. The Wings scoring effort on the stat sheet was led by Arike Ogunbowale, who scored 20 points for the second time this season, and rookie standout Satou Sabally, whose 10-point performance gives her four straight double-digit scoring performances to start her WNBA career.
The Wings also made life tough for the Aces inside, rejecting a season-high five shots. All five blocks came from talent acquired by the Wings in the offseason, with Katie Lou Samuelson and Astou Ndour sending back two field goals and rookie Bella Alarie swatting her fourth career shot. Samuelson's two blocks sets a new career high for her and are her first two of the young 2020 season. Ogunbowale has scored 20 or more points in 15 of her last 18 games and has scored 15 or more in 15 consecutive games.
The Wings take flight against the Chicago Sky (3-1) Tuesday, August 4 at 5 p.m. CT on Fox Sports Southwest Plus.
