
Wings Begin Season at Showcase

This week marks the beginning of the 2015-2016 Aberdeen Wings NAHL Regular Season with the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN. This is the 13 anniversary of the Showcase Tournament, which has evolved into one of hockey's most prestigious and well-attended events of the entire season. For scouting purposes, the five day event from September 23-26th, 2015, in which all 22 NAHL teams play four regular-season games, is a can't miss for every NCAA program and NHL team as they get their first look at some of the best and brightest hockey talent North America has to offer. Traditionally, the NAHL Showcase Tournament attracts over 5,000 people in overall attendance, including more than 300 NCAA, junior and professional scouts. For the full Showcase schedule click here
Wednesday: The Wings hit the ice bright and early as they will open the tournament with the first game vs. the Fairbanks Ice Dogs at 10:15 am on Schwan SR-2. The Wings will be the designated home team.
Thursday: Aberdeen will be taking of the Kenai River Brown Bears at 4:30pm from Schwan SR-4. The Wings will be the designated away team.
Friday: The Janesville Jets will be the road team as the Wings play host from Schwan SR-2 at 7:15 pm
Saturday: Aberdeen will close out the NAHL Showcase Tournament with a 3:15pm puck drop vs. the Minnesota Wilderness. The game will be played on Schwan SR-4. All games can be seen at fasthockey.com, heard on 94.1 the rock or check out the radio coverage at hubcityradio.com.
