Windsor entered tonight's game losing their last five games against Kitchener, they broke that streak with a 4-3 win on their ice. With the second goal of the game Carson Rehkopf added to his league-leading goal title as he now has 15 on the season. Hunter Brzustewicz extended his point streak to 13 games and he remains atop the OHL points leaderboard with 26 points.

Scoring Summary

1st Period

WSR 1, KIT 0

1:40 AJ Spellacy (2) - Noah Morneau

Windsor struck early, AJ Spellacy received the puck on a quick breakout, and went one-on-one with Matthew Andonovski. He beat Andonovski wide and then tapped the puck past Tristan Malboeuf along the ice blocker side.

WSR 2, KIT 0

7:42 Alex Christopoulos (3) - Rodwin Dionicio, Josef Eichler

Alex Christopoulos flew the zone on a breakout and Rodwin Dionicio threw the puck out of the Spitfires zone while under pressure, and the puck found Christopoulos who buried it glove side to put Windsor up two early in the game.

WSR 2, KIT 1

10:53 Adrian Misaljevic (11) - Trent Swick, Hunter Brzustewicz

Adrian Misaljevic received the puck in the slot off a pass from Trent Swick and sniped it home glove side on Joey Costanzo. Swick received the puck along the boards in the offensive zone, made a quick pivot, and found Misaljevic wide open in the slot.

WSR 2, KIT 2

17:34 Carson Rehkopf (15) - Trent Swick, Matthew Sop - Power Play Goal

Kitchener squared the game up late in the first at two on a powerplay marker as Aiden Castle took a slashing penalty at 16:07. Matthew Sop drove down the middle of the offensive zone and sent a fake shot over to Swick who whiffed on the shot. After recovering the puck Swick sent a pass to a driving Rehkopf who scored his league-leading 15th goal in tight.

2nd Period

WSR 3, KIT 2

3:56 Jacob Maillet (5) - Adam Castle, Ryan Abraham

Windsor jumped ahead early in the second period when Castle found the puck at the Rangers blueline and went in on a two-on-one with Jacob Maillet. Brzustewicz was the lone Kitchener defender, however, the pass evaded him and found the stick of Maillet who took a one-timed snapshot that beat Malboeuf up high.

WSR 4, KIT 2

13:26 Alex Christopoulos (4) - Colton Smith, Rodwin Dionicio

Windsor scored eight seconds into Sop's slashing penalty to restore their two-goal lead. A high-to-low pass from Dionicio to Smith led to a one-touch pass to Christopoulos who one timed the puck home from in close on Malboeuf.

3rd Period

WSR 4, KIT 3

6:50 Filip Mesar (2) - Matthew Sop, Carson Rehkopf - PPG

Spellacy took a hooking penalty 5:55 into the third period and Kitchener capitalized. A crisp passing play forced Costanzo to cross his crease, but he was not quick enough as Mesar buried it on the weak side for his second goal of the year. Rehkopf walked the point where he sent the puck cross-ice to Sop who then one-touch passed the puck back across to Mesar who one-timed it home; this brought Kitchener back within one.
