(WINDSOR, ON)- Brandon Robinson had 27 points and 10 rebounds and Kirk Williams Jr posted 15 points as the Windsor Express took Game 1 of their NBL Quarterfinal Series with Niagara 95-80 on Monday night.

Sammy Zeglinski put up 25 points for Niagara, who trail Windsor in the best of five series, 1-0.

The Express led during the entire first quarter, until Sammy Zeglinski hit a three with 30 seconds remaining. The River Lions finished with a 18-17 lead.

Windsor and Niagara exchanged leads during the first half of the quarter. Brandon Robinson put up 6 points in less than a minute to give Windsor a five point lead, 31-26. Windsor went into halftime with a 42-29 advantage.

Kirk Williams Jr extended the Express lead in the third quarter by putting up 7 points in the first three minutes. The River Lions outscored the Express 28-24, but the Express went into the final quarter with a 66-57 lead.

Niagara attempted to come back midway through the fourth quarter, bringing the score within 7, 78-71. Windsor pulled away and took the first game of the series after a 95-80 victory.

Shaquille Keith added 13 points in the win.

Tony Bennett had 10 assists.

Game 2 will take place on Wednesday, May 4th at The WFCU Centre for a 7:30pm game start.
