Windsor Express Partner with Windsor Lancers

October 25, 2018 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) - Windsor Express News Release

The Windsor Express has once again partnered with the Windsor Lancers men's basketball team to provide a full day of basketball entertainment. The Lancers will host the Western Mustangs in OUA action prior to the Express tipping off against the Sudbury Five at the season opener on November 17.

Doors open at the WFCU Arena at 2pm in advance of the 3pm tip-off between the Lancers and Mustangs. Following the game, all youth in attendance will be able to participate in a one hour Skills and Drills Camp with the Lancers from 5pm to 6pm in the community gym at the WFCU Centre.

"We have always looked for ways to create unique experiences for our student-athletes, and we are grateful for this opportunity provided by the Windsor Express," said Chris Oliver, head coach of the Windsor Lancers. "The WFCU has hosted so many memorable events so we hope our game becomes another one of those."

Tickets for the game are available from the Windsor Lancers by purchasing them online at www.goLancers.ca/tickets. Lancers fans will also be able to purchase half-price tickets for the Express game; $10 for adults and $5 for children at the WFCU box office.

Windsor and Sudbury take the court for a 7pm start to the 2018-19 NBLC season. Doors open at 6pm, but fans holding value added tickets for the Express game can access the Lancers game free of charge.

"The Express is excited to start our 7th season and we're especially thrilled to welcome this partnership with the Windsor Lancers," said Dartis Willis, president and CEO of the Express. "Our fans deserve nothing but the best basketball and that's what we're going to give them."
