
Williams Activated off Disabled List

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (JULY 26, 2010) - Today the Winston-Salem Dash activated OF Kenny Williams, Jr. off the seven-day disabled list. Williams is in tonight's starting lineup, batting eighth and playing left field. There is no corresponding roster move at this time.
Williams has missed the last 19 games with a right knee injury. He suffered the injury while making a diving catch in a game at Lynchburg on July 3. It was the second time he hurt his knee this season. He spent 35 games on the D.L. from April 29 - June 3.
The San Jose native is hitting .247 with one home run, ten doubles, one triple, and 15 RBI on the season. Williams brings an eight-game hitting streak into tonight's contest.
The Dash's roster has reached the Carolina League limit of 25 players.
Winston opens a three-game series at home tonight against the Kinston Indians. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
