Cloquet, MN--Despite peppering the Wilderness net with shots, the Bismarck Bobcats managed just a single score in a 2-1 loss in Cloquet, MN Saturday night.

Wilderness goalie Frank Oplinger stopped 32 Bobcat shots, surviving an extra attacker scenario at the end of the game that became a six-on-three Bobcat advantage in the final seconds.

Despite the loss, Bismarck (28-15-4) holds their one-point lead in the NAHL Central Division, as Austin was again beaten at Fairbanks. Aberdeen, however, closed their gap with the Bobcats to just three points.

Wilderness winger Jakob Romo assisted on both of his team's goals. He hit Tyler Hart in the right circle for a wrister that slipped through Bobcat goalie Aaron Nelson's (Bismarck, ND) kneepads at 36 seconds of the second. Romo then Thomas Lindstrom with a crossing pass to the right for a one-timer at 3:06 of the third.

Huba Sekesi (Munich, Germany) put the Bobcats on the board by cleaning up a Cullen Willox (Eagan, MN) rebound with a backhand swipe at 15:40 of the third, cutting the lead to one. Bismarck emptied the net with 1:24 left for the extra attacker, then picked up two additional advantages on Wilderness penalties at 19:17 and 19:54.

With just six seconds left and the Bobcats on a six-on-three advantage, Sekesi won a draw on the Wilderness blue line, but the puck sailed behind the Bobcat defensemen and did not return out of the Bismarck zone until time expired.

The Bobcats travel to Brookings Friday, the final game of nine road games in ten contests. They return home Saturday night to close the weekend with Brookings. Tickets for Saturday's game are available at 222-3300 or online at www.bismarckbobcats.com.
