This Week, Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21 at Florida Everblades

The Wildcatters begin the regular season on the road with back-to-back games against the South division rival, Florida Everblades on Friday night. Game time is 6:30 CT. The two teams go right back at it again at 6:30 CT on Saturday night. The Wildcatters are entering their third season of hockey in the ECHL, after a one-year layoff due to Hurricane Rita. The Everblades are entering their ninth year in the league and have made the Kelly Cup Playoffs in every year. This will be the first of 10 meetings between the two clubs. They will play each other five times at home and five times on the road. The Everblades will visit Ford Arena for the first time this season on December 28.

Friday, October 13 at Florida 4-2 Win

The Wildcatters traveled to Florida to play two exhibition games against the Everblades. The Catters came away with two come from behind victories, sweeping Florida. On Friday night, Texas scored three 3rd period goals, led by Luis Tremblay's game winner to beat the Everblades 4-2. Daniel Sparre scored twice and Casey Lee started the scoring for the Wildcatters. Goaltender Matt Yeats made 18 saves in the win for the Wildcatters.

Saturday, October 14 at Florida 2-1 Win

On Saturday night, The Wildcatters struck a come back again. Matt Johnson scored the game winning goal in the third period to give the Wildcatters a 2-1 win. Marco Rosa picked up his first pre-season goal and Miroslav Kopriva stopped 29 shots in the Catters win. After an 0-for-15 night on the power play on Friday, the Wildcatters converted 2-of-12 chances on the man advantage

Home Opener, Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 7:05 p.m. at Ford Arena

ESPN Radio 1450 am The Ticket is the exclusive home for Texas Wildcatters Hockey all season long. Join the "Voice of the Wildcatters" Anthony Langella, Jr. for all the play-by-play action. The Wildcatters Warm-up show will begin 20 minutes prior to opening face-off. You can also catch the action at www.wildcattershockey.com. Friday night's broadcast will be available on radio and Internet while on Saturday night, the broadcast will be Internet only.

The Texas Wildcatters are the ECHL affiliate for the AHL's Houston Aeros. The Wildcatters return home to Ford Arena for KFDM Opening Night on Saturday, October 28 against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 7:05pm.
