BILOXI, MS - The Texas Wildcatters defeated the Mississippi Sea Wolves 2-1 in a shootout at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Tuesday evening.

Texas opened the scoring early when Danick Bouchard took a pass from Marco Rosa and put it past Sea Wolves goaltender Morgan Cey at the 51 second mark of the first period.

The Sea Wolves battled back and evened the score at 8:04 of the second period when Matt Deschamps took a pass from Marek Kvapil at the right point and fired a slapshot the beat Texas goaltender Anton Khudobin through traffic.

Mississippi managed 12 shots in the third period and two more in overtime, but neither team was able to score, and the game headed to the shootout, where Danick Bouchard and John McNabb scored for Texas, while Khudobin stopped 4-of-5 Sea Wolves shooters to hang on for the win.
