Wildcats Lose OT Battle against Bathurst 4-3

The Moncton Wildcats fall 4-3 in overtime to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan Sunday evening in front of 4839 fans at the Moncton Coliseum.

Captain, Stephen Johnson opened the scoring at 12:31 of the first, on a feed from Garland and Askew. Bathurst would put the next two goals, courtesy of Christophe Boivin and Guillaume Brisebois. At 13:77 of the second Adam Holwell scored on the power play to tie the game, assists on Holwell's goal went to Kosack and Askew.

Bathurst would score again in the third to pull ahead with a one goal lead, but Moncton was able to respond. Cameron Askew added the Wildcats second power play goal of the night halfway through the third to tie the game at 3-3. Assists on Askew's goal went to Garland and Manuel Wiederer, who is now riding a 10 game point streak.

This game would need overtime, but only 0:27 seconds in, Bathurst's Jordan Maher would bury the game winning goal.

First star of the game went to Conor Garland, second to Adam Holwell and Austin Kosack was named hardest worker. Shots were 32-30 in favour of the Titan.

Conor Garland has now tied the team's all-time point streak record; the record is held by Sebastien Roger for points in 21 straight games.

The team is on the road this week in Quebec, and will return to action in the Coliseum on Wednesday December 2nd when they take to the ice vs. the Charlottetown Islanders at 7:00 p.m.
