January 16, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
San Diego Wildcats News Release
San Diego, CA. The ABA San Diego Wildcats held a press conference at Seau's in San Diego to introduce the team's new owner, Anthony Lacey, and let the public meet the players. Since Lacey has taken in the team under his possession, awareness of the team has increased as fan support continues to expand. Lacey has spoken to Mayor Jerry Sanders on having home games for the Wildcats at Golden Hall. The venue will be a tremendous jump from the current venues in which the team has been playing.
Lacey stated, "We are a winning team and entertaining at a level in which not just basketball lovers would enjoy."
The San Diego team is one of the top teams in the ABA - and getting stronger. The next home game is Jan 21 at Cathedral High School at 5pm against the Hollywood Fame. Tickets will be $6 at the door or online. For more information, visit www.sandiegowildcats.com or www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
