
RazorSharks 8-1 in last nine games, hit the road for pair

Rochester RazorSharks News Release
(Rochester, New York)...The defending American Basketball Association champion Rochester RazorSharks (15-5) are on a three-game win streak and have won eight of their last nine games, sending them near the top of the ABA's North Division. After thumping the division-leading Frost Heaves last Saturday 113-100, Rochester inched closer to first place as they head into the second half of the season.
The RazorSharks travel west for two games this upcoming weekend, as they visit the Motor City on Saturday, January 20 at 7:00 p.m. to take on the Detroit Panthers. The Panthers (9-6) have beaten Rochester twice this year in Detroit and leads the season series 2-1. The RazorSharks sneak around the western end of Lake Erie and play at Toledo on Monday, January 22 at 7:00 p.m. It is the first meeting ever between the Royal Knights and Rochester.
Rochester returns to The Blue Cross Arena on Thursday, January 25 as the Strong Island Sound visit the Flower City for a 7:05 p.m. tip-off.

- Rochester is ranked #4 in the ABA Weekly Power Rankings, behind #1 Arkansas Aeros (18-2), #2 Vermont Frost Heaves (17-4) and #3 Texas Tycoons (15-5)
- Five players are in double-figures in scoring average for Rochester, and at least five players have scored in double-figures in the last six consecutive games
- Center Troy Brown saw his first action of the season last weekend after signing a contract on Friday
- Forward James "Mook" Reaves and Head Coach Rod Baker have been selected to represent Rochester on the East All-Stars at the ABA All-Star Game on January 28 in Halifax, Nova Scotia - guard Lazarus Sims is an alternate.
- Rochester is outscoring their opposition 106.6 to 96.4, and out rebounding them 47.9 to 38.8.
HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD & STRONG ISLAND
The Strong Island Sound will make their first appearance of the season at The Blue Cross Arena on Thursday, January 25, with tip-off at 7:05 p.m., replacing the Brooklyn Wonders. The Hollywood Fame will make its first visit to Rochester on Sunday, February 11 at 2:05 p.m. as they participate in a three-game road swing on the east coast. They will replace the Buffalo Silverbacks on the RazorSharks schedule that day. The Fame ownership group that includes pop singer Nick Lachey, actor Geoff Stults ("7th Heaven" and "The Break-Up"), Stacy Keibler ("Dancing With the Stars"), former MLB All-Star Brady Anderson, NFL quarterback Kyle Boller of the Baltimore Ravens and NASCAR's Brian Vickers.
28 STRAIGHT WINS ON HOME COURT AND COUNTING
The RazorSharks have won 28 straight games on home court at The Blue Cross Arena, setting the Rochester professional basketball record for consecutive home wins. Rochester is 31-2 all-time on home court (11-0 this season) and have a 45-9 (.833) all-time overall record in the ABA. The RazorSharks last lost at home on Thursday, November 24, 2005 - Thanksgiving Night - to the Niagara DareDevils 116-111.
