Wildcats Create Organizational Changes

ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats arena football team has announced several organizational changes in an effort to address the team's 1-9 record. In order to create a greater emphasis on the football operation of the team, the ownership of the Wildcats has announced that John W. Hunt Jr. has been named the team's managing partner, Wildcats Vice President of Sales and Operations, Darren McPhail, has been promoted to general manager and Barry Terranova has been retained as a consultant to evaluate the football operation.

"As an ownership group we are very excited and appreciative of the tremendous response we have received from the South Georgia business community as well as the unbelievable fan support our team has received during the past two seasons," said Hunt. "With the coaching clients Barry and I have and with current and former NFL players as owners, we should be able to build the Wildcats into a more competitive football team."

On the business side of the franchise, McPhail will serve as the Wildcats general manager. McPhail has been with the Wildcats for four seasons and is being promoted from general sales manager and the director of operations.

Mike Storen, the founding partner of the team, will continue as the team's liaison with the Arena Football League, as well as continue as a consultant with the Wildcats in Albany.
