Wildcats announce first open tryout for 2006 season

South Georgia Wildcats News Release
ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats arenafootball team announced that they will hold their first open tryout for the 2006 season on Saturday, October 15th. The one day event will take place at Albany State University's football facility- Albany Municipal Coliseum located at 500 East Oglethorpe Blvd., Albany, Ga. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the tryout will begin at 10:00 a.m. All position players are welcome to attend.
Potential players will participate in one-on-one and three-on-three non-contact drills as well as being tested on the 40-yard sprint, 20-yard short shuttle, standing broad jump and other agility drills. The tryout will be conducted outside on natural grass. All participants are required to bring athletic shoes (outdoor cleats preferably) and workout wear for the tryout. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and must sign an injury waiver form to participate.
The fee to tryout will be $40 and can be paid by cash or money order. The tryout will be open for viewing to the public and all media.
