
Wild Things Win First half of Double Header

Washington, PA - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, defeated the Chillicothe Paints (5-2) by a score of 3 - 2 in the first game of Sunday's double header. The Wild Things improved their record to 5-3.
The Wild Things first scored in the third inning when Jake Bollig was driven in from third base off Jon Cahill's single to left field. Then, Cahill scored when Doug Garcia hit a fly ball to left field making the score 2-0.
Chillicothe answered in the fifth after Nick Elrod hit a single to right field driving Adrian Gaseon Jr., in.
Josh Loggins answered the Paints run in the sixth inning when he hit a homerun to centerfield making the score 3-1.
Chillicothe rallied in the seventh inning, but they fell short, scoring just one run. The final score of the game was 3-2.
The Washington Wild Things announced they signed right handed pitcher, Brian Dorsey. Dorsey was recently released from Philadelphia Philly organization where he played in the Gulf Coast League for one year.
The Wild Things host the final game of their three day series with the Chillicothe Paints Monday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
