WASHINGTON, Pa. - Nick Wegmann tossed eight innings for the second time this season and allowed just one run while Hector Roa collected three hits, including a double and a home run, but the Wild Things fell 3-2 to the Bolts Thursday with the chance for the sweep going by the wayside.

Windy City scored in the second to open the scoring on a double by Randy Perez. Washington was scoreless until the fifth, when Hector Roa's infield single scored Ryan Cox to even the game.

It remained 1-1 until the ninth when Christian Funk hit a two-run homer off Jesus Balaguer with nobody out to give the ThunderBolts a 3-1 lead. Hector Roa's homer in the bottom half brought the Wild Things within a run, but the 3-2 score would be the final.

The Wild Things travel to the Lake Erie Crushers for a weekend set, with tomorrow's series opener slated for 7:05 p.m.
