Traverse City, MI - The Washington Wild Things dropped both games of a twin bill to the Traverse City Beach Bums at Wuerfel Park Wednesday. Washington fell 3-0 in game one and 4-2 in game two.

The Washington bats were sharp, but the Traverse City defense challenged the Wild Things throughout both games.

In game one Austin Wobrock, Sam Mende, Scott Kalamar, and Maxx Garret combined for the five hits, but the Traverse City defense kept them from crossing the plate.

Washington accumulated nine hits in game two, but could only score twice.

The teams meet for the third and final game of the series Thursday when first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EDT. Air time on WJPA 95.3 FM and www.msasports.net is 6:55 p.m.

Washington returns to CONSOL Energy Park for a weekend series. First pitch on Fireworks Friday is 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available at the CONSOL Energy Park Box Office.
