Wild Sign Three Local Players And One Out-Of-State Player

Alaska Wild continues to bolster its team. We have players joining the Wild from all over the States. The Wild is excited to announce the return of Tui Alailefaleula and Bobby Dunbar. We are pleased to announce the signing of Kirk Hannah and Montel Massenburg making their debut with professional football.

Returnee Tui Alailefaleula, 6'4, 360lbs was a defensive tackle in the NFL. He was signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Washington, where he played mostly offensive line, by the New York Giants. Injured in the 2006-2007 NFL season Tui was later cut by the Giants then signed by the New York Jets, later released on waivers. Tui now works as a youth counselor at the McLaughlin Youth Center in Anchorage, Alaska and is an assistant football coach/offensive line coach at Bartlett High School. He graduated from Bartlett with a state championship under his belt. He also plays offensive tackle for the Alaska Wild who plays in the Indoor Football League. This will he be his second year with the Wild.

Kirk Hannah, 5'11", 215 lbs playing running back joins the Alaska Wild. He attended Urbana University, where he broke their single game record for rushing yards in a game with 224. In 2008 he was named First Team All-ICAA as he rushed for 1,145 yards on 257 carries with an average of 4.5 yards and he also was named First Team All-Ohio. He was also eligible for the NFL Draft in 2009. The Wild will be Hannah's first experience when it comes to professional football and we're excited to have him.

Also returning to the Wild, Bobby Dunbar, 6'2", 235lbs is a 2005 graduate form Bartlett High School where he played RB and LB. Bobby was also a state high school wrestling champion from 2002-2005. Bobby played at Eastern Arizona from 2005-2007 and was captain of team. Bobby played in the Anchorage Football League in 2008, and helped the South Central Cowboys win the AFL Championship. Bobby Played for the Alaska wild in 2009. He was a solid player and started at multiple positions.

Montell Massenburg, 5'10", 215lbs is a 2005 graduate from West High School and attended Utah State, where he played RB. Montel was the 2010 MVP of the Alaska Football League where he led the league in rushing yardage and touchdowns. Montel will challenge for a starting RB position for the Wild.

With all the things happening in and around the league, the bar is being raised when it comes to talent and the Alaska Wild is in the prime position to meet that expectation. Stay tuned for more news on the Wild.
