The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) re-signed another First Team All-IFL selection as well as one of the team's top tacklers for the 2010 season. The Wild also signed its first free agent of the off-season which should improve an already stingy Wild defense.

Reid finished 2nd on the team and 7th in the IFL in tackles with 68.5 and led the team in tackles for loss with 9.5. He was named to the All-IFL First Team for his efforts. The former Western Carolina athlete will be playing in his second season of indoor football in 2010.
Reid joined the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in May of 2006. Reid was let go in training camp later that year. Reid?s final season at Western Carolina was in the fall of 2005, where he average 4.4 yards per carry for the Catamounts. Reid tallied 402 yards on the ground and led the team with eight touchdowns. In 2004, the Maiden, NC native, played in 10 games carrying the ball 28 times for 108 yards on the season.
As a true freshman, Reid played defense for the Catamounts starting the final four games of the season at safety. Reid collected 44 tackles on the season, which was seventh most on the team. Reid also starred on the track team during his time at Western Carolina, earning All-Conference honors in numerous events.
Also re-joining the team for 2010 is defensive back Ene Akpan. Akpan played in 11 games for the Wild and finished 5th on the team in tackles with 47.5. Akpan also accumulated two interceptions during the season.
Akpan will be playing in his 4th season for the Wild. Akpan was the team's second leading tackler in 2008 with 55.5 tackles. Akpan played his college ball at McPhereson College. In 2006 he was an All-Conference selection and Team MVP.
The first new addition to the 2010 squad is defensive back Henry Talley. Talley comes to the Wild after spending 2009 with the Omaha Beef of the IFL. Talley finished third on the team and 10th in the IFL in tackles with 66.5.
