Wild Hits Road For Battle In Omaha

The Wichita Wild will be playing in their first road game of the 2010 season on Monday night in Omaha against the Beef. The Wild and Beef will play for the first time since the Wild's playoff triumph in July of 2009 in Omaha. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 PM and the game can be heard LIVE on KFH (1230-AM and 98.7 FM).

Both the Wild and Beef have suffered one loss on the season. Both teams lost to Sioux Falls in close games. The Wild have two wins with victories over La Crosse and Colorado. The Wild are scoring an average of 48.3 points per game while allowing 34.4 on defense. Wild running back Darius Fudge is off to a great start in 2010 as he is currently 5th in the IFL in rushing with 138 yards and leads the league in touchdowns with 8.

Beef quarterback Ben Sankey is showing again that he is one of the top QB's in the league. Sankey has passed for 343 yards with seven touchdowns. Sankey spreads the ball around to numerous receivers as six Beef players have caught at least one pass with four receivers catching touchdown passes.

On defense the Beef are led by Jeff Souder who has recorded 20 tackles this season. The Beef lead the IFL in sacks per game with three. The Beef defense is allowing 40.0 points per game.

The Wild return home on April 10 to play the Beef at Hartman Arena. Tickets can be purchased from the Hartman Arena Box Office in Park City or by calling the box office at 316-927-3999.
