Wenatchee Wild News Release

Wenatchee's season is quickly winding down, and after being on the road for two weeks straight, the Wild are hosting their final two series on home ice. In front of more than 3,000 fans, the Wild took the ice for the first game in a two match weekend against the Lone Star Brahmas and the home team was able to bring in a 4-3 victory. David Powlowski, Donovan Ott, and Tyler Rockwell were the 3 Stars of the Game, and with this win, Wenatchee has moved up to 57 points in 56 games played. After three periods, Coach Littler stated, "I thought we played very well the first two periods. In the third we turned it over a bit too much. Big challenge tomorrow. Want to keep collecting points."

Sebastian Vidmar started this game eleven minutes and forty two seconds into the first period when he netted the Brahmas' first point with the assistance of Caleb Thompson. Getting the Wild on the board four minutes later, Donovan Ott ended the first frame after he was successfully fed the puck by Stevie Bryant and Jacob Hamacher.

Tyler Rockwell would give the Wild the 2-1 lead after he beat Lone Star's goaltender TJ Black eleven minutes into the frame on the power play. Rockwell received assists from August Von Ungern-Sternberg and Chris Jones. Eighteen minutes into the period, David Powlowski gave Wenatchee their third goal of the game when he was able to receive the puck from Ryan Chiasson.

Powlowski would go on to score Wenatchee's last point of the game ten minutes and thirty seven seconds into the final frame. This power play goal was helped along by Andre Pison and Kyle Stephan. In an attempt to beat the clock, Ludvig Larsson would give the Brahmas their second point of the night on the power play as well, thirteen minutes into the frame. His assists would come from Anton Santesson and Johan Steen. The last goal of the game was scored by Oskar Andren forty two seconds later and this point would go unassisted as well as give the Wild their 4-3 win.

The Wild recorded 30 total shots on goal and only 5 infractions. Penalties were called out on Troy Conzo (Tripping), August Von Ungern-Sternberg (Tripping), David Powlowski (Hooking), Ryan Gotelaere (Holding), and Brendan Harris (Hooking).
