
Wickswat Returns to Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (JUNE 13, 2011) - The Winston-Salem Dash announced today that LHP Matt Wickswat has been sent to the Dash from AA Birmingham. There is no corresponding roster move at this time
Wickswat was promoted from Winston-Salem to Birmingham on May 30 and made three appearances with the Barons. In 6.1 innings out of the bullpen, he didn't allow a run and gave up seven hits. Wickswat started the season on the disabled list and was rehabbing an injury in extended spring training. The Dash first received him on April 27. He threw in seven games for the Dash and compiled a 1.38 ERA in 13 innings. Wickswat allowed two runs, walked five, and struck out 14 with the Dash.
The Dash roster has reached the Carolina League limit of 25 players.
