Bay Area Panthers News Release
MORGAN HILL, Calif. - The Bay Area Panthers (@panthersifl) of the Indoor Football League have less than a week to determine their two quarterbacks to get ready for the opener against the Arizona Rattlers on March 26. Here's a sneak peak at the three players competing for roster spots:
Dalton Sneed--University of Montana. Following a prolific career in the Big Sky Conference, Sneed enters his second IFL season after being acquired in a trade with Sioux Falls. In 2022, Sneed played 10 games as a rookie with the Storm, completing 60 percent of his throws for over 1,300 yards with 25 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Noah Johnson--Alcorn State/South Florida. Johnson was named the SWAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2018 and was one of 25 finalists for the Walter Payton Award, given to the top player in FCS. Johnson finished near home at South Florida, playing in six of nine games, completing 62 percent of his throws before entering the NFL Draft.
D'Angelo Fulford--Mount Union. Fulford won a DIII national title in 2017, throwing 50 touchdowns passes with five interceptions. He won the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Back of the Year Award three times, only the second player to accomplish the feat. As a senior, Fulford threw 43 TD passes with only two interceptions, breaking the NCAA all-time passing efficiency record that had stood for 25 years.
