WHL to Announce 2021 Prospects Draft Lottery Results Wednesday

Portland, Ore. - The Western Hockey League announced details for the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft Lottery Monday, sharing that the results will be available Wednesday, June 2 at 9 a.m. PT.

The draft is scheduled to be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 and the lottery will determine the order of the first round selections.

The Winterhawks first round pick belongs to the Swift Current Broncos as a result of the trade that brought Joel Hofer to Portland in 2019.

Last season the club selected forward Alex Weiermair and defenseman Jason Zaccari with their two choices.
