
WhiteWings to Host Six Community Nights

Harlingen - United League Baseball's Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings announced today that they are hosting community nights for Brownsville (August 8), San Benito (August 13), Mercedes (August 14), Raymondville/ Willacy (August 15), Weslaco (August 20), and La Feria, Los Fresnos and Rio Hondo (August 21) during 7:05 p.m. games at Harlingen Field.
General admission tickets will be $2 for residents of the communities on their nights and can be upgraded to reserved grandstand seats for an additional fee of $1 or to box seats for $3.
Tickets are available at the local Chambers of Commerce or by contacting the WhiteWings over the phone at 423-WING (9464) or in person at the Harlingen Field box office.
"We want to show our thanks to the residents, business and organizations of the Rio Grande Valley for their support by giving back to the community," General Manager Cory Dirksen said.
Gates open at 6:05 p.m.
The WhiteWings are members of United League Baseball, an independent league of six professional baseball teams located in Texas. In its fourth season, the United League is in the midst of a great summer with teams located in Amarillo, Edinburg, Coastal Bend, Laredo, Harlingen and San Angelo.
