
WhiteWings sign Nunez

Today, the WhiteWings have announced the signing of catcher Dimerson Nunez, 38, a native of Panama. Nunez has most recently played for the Panama National Team. He has also played in Japan, Taiwan, Mexico and Italy, among other countries. Nunez has played in major league organizations in Kansas City and Atlanta.
To make room for Nunez, the WhiteWings have announced the voluntary retirement of pitcher Jordy Templet. Templet will be going back to college, manager Eddie Dennis stated, to continue his studies.
More transactions are expected tomorrow. Outfielder Carlos Mendoza, 26, is expected to join the team Wednesday.
