Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings News Release
The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings have announced the signing of righthanded pitcher Brandon Bowe to the active roster. Bowe, a 6' 3", 215-pounder, is 30 years old and hails from Lodi, California. He pitched last year in the Golden League for the Chico Outlaws, and previous stops had him in independent leagues in 2003 and 2004. Bowe was in the Florida Marlins system from 1999 to 2002. In 2002 for AA Portland, Bowe had a 6-4 record with a 3.72 ERA in 75 innings pitched.
To make room for Bowe on the active roster, the Wings have released pitcher Brian Gore, who had pitched three scoreless innings over two games while with Rio Grande Valley.
Bowe is the scheduled starter for tonight's game against San Angelo.
