Following Sunday night's 7-5 victory over the San Angelo Colts, Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings manager Eddie Dennis announced that pitcher Adam Hanson has been traded to San Angelo for a player to be named later.
Hanson, who also served as pitching coach for the Wings, had a 2-2 record and 3.75 ERA through five games (four starts) this season. In 24 innings pitched, Hanson allowed 20 hits and 10 earned runs. He struck out 23 and walked 10. Opponents were hitting only .217 off Hanson.
RGV embarks on a 12-game, 14-day road trip Monday. The WhiteWings will play at Amarillo Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. to start a three-game series.
