Whitecaps FC Open Practice Presented by Sport Chek

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Sport Chek announced today that 500 fans will have the opportunity to participate in the first-ever open practice with members of Vancouver's Major League Soccer squad at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, BC, on August 2, 2012. The on-pitch training session will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. PT. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to win great prizes, including Whitecaps FC signed merchandise and Sport Chek gift cards.

"We are pleased to work with Sport Chek to provide this unique and fun opportunity to our fans," said Bob Lenarduzzi, Whitecaps FC president. "Fans are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment."

To participate in the first-ever Whitecaps FC open practice, register online at whitecapsfc.com/openpractice. Registration will close once 500 individuals are registered.

Following the open practice, members of Vancouver Whitecaps FC will participate in an autograph signing session at Sport Check Burnaby (Major 1, 4700 Kingsway, Burnaby) from 2 to 3 p.m. PT.

The next home match between Whitecaps FC and Real Salt Lake kicks off at 4 p.m. PT on Saturday, August 11 at BC Place. Individual match tickets start at $20, plus applicable service charges, and are available at all Ticketmaster Ticket Centres, online at ticketmaster.ca, and Charge-by-Phone at 1.855.6.GO-CAPS (1.855.646.2277).
