White Slips Past Teal 3-2 In A Shootout In Bullies "Teal & White" Game

Vineland, NJ – Newcomer Fraser Clair tallied the game-winning goal in the fourth round of the shootout to lead White past Teal 3-2 in the First Annual Bullies "Teal & White" Game before 1,025 at Vineland Ice Arena on Saturday. White opened the scoring early at 1:52 of the first period when defenseman Dan Peters tipped the loose puck in the slot past Teal goalie John Larnerd for a 1-0 lead. Teal countered 28 seconds later at 2:20 as Luke Curtin's drive from the left wing circle beat a screened White goalie Adam Munro to tie the game at 1-1. Teal took their first lead of the night at 11:38 of the second period when Dustan Heintz slapped Gray Shaneberger's rebound past Jake Moreland for a 2-1 advantage. White quickly tied the game at 2-2 just 13 seconds later as Rob McFeeters off a turnover came up with the puck at center ice, broke in alone on Larnerd, and tucked it past the net-minder for the equalizer at 11:51. White out-shot Teal 37-27. Jake Moreland earned the victory for White. The Bullies travel to Las Vegas to battle the Las Vegas Wranglers in pre-season action on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16 at the Orleans Arena. The Bullies open the regular season on Friday, October 22 at the Florence Civic Center against the Pee Dee Pride at 7:30PM. Opening Weekend 2004 kicks off at 7:05PM on Friday, October 29 when Atlantic City battles Trenton at Historic Boardwalk Hall.
