Friday night at Young Arena, the Black Hawks and Indiana Ice accumulated 140 penalty minutes. The other five games in the league had a combined total of 154. Through it all, Waterloo topped Indiana 5-2.
James Marcou had four assists and Matt Arhontas put in the game winner as part of a three goal second period. Brett Barta opened the scoring during a two-man advantage in the first, but the game was tied at intermission. Jan-Mikael Juutilainen and Billy Maday would score on either side of Arhontas' goal, all coming in a five minute stretch during the mid-second period. Ryan Cramer's empty-netter sealed the win.
The teams meet for the rematch Saturday night staring at 7:05. College students will be admitted for $5 and professional cheerleader Krazy George will be on hand to stir the crowd.
