Junior Blue Jackets downed 7-4 by RoughRiders

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Junior Blue Jackets again scored four goals versus the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, once again they lost, this time a 7-4 defeat on the road.

Defenseman Adam Comrie opened the scoring for Ohio, tallying a power-play goal in the first period. Coming off the injured the reserve list, forward Danny Dries made an immediate impact, with an assist on Comrie's goal. However, two goals in the final three minutes of the first stanza gave the RoughRiders the lead.

Down 3-1 in the second period, forward Dan Barczuk scored an even-strength goal to cut the lead back to one. After two more Cedar Rapids goals in the period, the Junior Blue Jackets fought back one more time, adding two goals of their own. Forward Danny Hobbs netted an unassisted goal and 0:23 second later, forward Charles Brockett scored to make the game 5-4 heading into the second intermission.

In the third period, the Junior Blue Jackets couldn't generate any scoring and the RoughRiders made Ohio pay on the power play. Two man-advantage goals in the final 20-minutes gave Cedar Rapids the three-goal victory. Ohio managed only 14 shots on goal.

The Junior Blue Jackets will be on the road for three more road games, one at Cedar Rapids, one at the Green Bay Gamblers and one at the Indiana Ice. The team then returns to Nationwide Arena Nov. 25-26 to face the Ice, game times are scheduled for 1 p.m. (ET) both days.
