
Wheat Kings make Central Scouting's final rankings

Brandon, Manitoba -- Three members of the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings have cracked the Central Scouting Bureau's final rankings for the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
18-year old local product Andrew Clark leads the Wheat Kings' contingent at 77th overall among North American skaters, 17-year old defenceman Keith Aulie has moved up from 167th to 108th while Czech left-winger Daniel Bartek cracked the rankings for the first time and is listed 185th.
In 72 games last season, Clark scored 28 goals and 60 points and was named to the WHL all star team that faced the Russian Junior Selects in Cranbrook, B.C. last November. A former Tri-City American, Bartek had 12 goals and 22 points in 63 games while Aulie, the Wheat Kings' first round selection in the 2004 WHL bantam draft had one goal, nine points, 82 penalty minutes and a +3 rating in 66 games this past season.
Brandon native Alex Plante, a 6'5" 220 lb. defenceman with the Calgary Hitmen, tops all local players after being ranked 72nd overall while Spokane's Justin Falk, an 18-year old graduate from Pilot Mound Collegiate has moved up to 74th overall from 112th in the mid-season rankings.
The NHL Entry draft is scheduled for June 22nd and 23rd in Columbus, Ohio.
