After a Postponed game due to weather conditions. The Wheat Kings will only play one game this weekend, this time they will try and travel East to Winnipeg before they break for the Holidays.
Puck drop at 7pm from Wayne Fleming Arena in Winnipeg.

Last Game: After grinding out a 2-1 victory on Saturdays Teddy Bear Toss Night the Wheat Kings had a quick turnaround Sunday afternoon versus the Calgary Hitmen. In a game that started out so well for the Wheat Kings, the Hitmen would quickly turn the tide and win 5-2. Hitmen forward Zac Funk led the way scoring a point off every Hitmen goal finishing the evening with 2 goals and 3 assists earning first start honours. For Wheat Kings forward Nate Danielson, his scoring streak ended at 13 games.
Dec 17th VS Winnipeg Ice: Tonight its the 5th meeting between the Wheat Kings and the Winnipeg Ice. Last time these clubs met was an 8-3 win for the Ice who took full advantage of an ill and beat up the Wheat Kings squad. This will be a motivated Ice team heading into tonight's game with the Ice having their Captain Carson Lambos return from Team Canada camp after being told he will not be playing in the Tournament even though he was a returning player to the roster. The Wheat Kings have had their close games against the number 1 team the country only losing by 1 goal on Sept 24th and Oct 29th. The other two games got away from the Wheat Kings with the Ice winning by margins 3 goals or more.
Heading to Vancouver: Nate Danielson & Carson Bjarnason were named to the Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects game earlier this week.Bjarnason, 17, was only one of two goaltenders who received an "A" rating by NHL Central Scouting earlier this year. Bjarnason is third in the WHL with total saves and is currently running a 2.98 goals against average with a 0.911 save percentage. Bjarnason also has 1 shutout this season. Danielson, 18, also received an "A" rating by NHL Central Scouting. Danielson leads the Wheat Kings in scoring with 15 goals and 22 assists and just had his 13 game point streak snapped in the loss over the Calgary Hitmen Sunday afternoon. Danielson currently has 22 points in his last 14 games.
Who's Hot: Forward Nate Danielson has been stellar as of late scoring 22 points in his last 14 games. Nolan Ritchie has 12 points in his last 9 games. Calder Anderson has 12 points in his last 10 games. Brett Hyland is on a 6 game goal scoring streak.
