Great Lakes Loons News Release
Loons fans will be greeted with several enhancements to Dow Diamond when they enter the stadium for a game during the 2009 season. A new group seating area, a specialty sports lounge and several new ticket packages have been rolled out for 2009.
Lawn seating - at $6 per ticket - remains the most affordable daily ticket option for fans. New for 2009, fans can purchase the Loons' Grass Pass, a collection of 10 undated tickets good for any home game during the season. Grass pass tickets can be presented directly to a Dow Diamond ticket taker directly and used regardless of whether or not a game is sold out. Another new ticket package option for 2009 is the Tigers Championship Six-Pack, good for three games with appearances by 1984 Tigers players and three games with '84 Tigers players honored with a bobblehead giveaway.
Existing ticket options remain for eight- and 16-game mini-plans and half- and full-season ticket packages.
A new group area is now available for daily rental. The new Pier 47 is located along the first base line and features seating for up to 24 people with high-top tables and chairs. A group outing at Pier 47 costs $360 and includes 24 tickets.
One of the first improvements to Dow Diamond that fans will notice when they enter through the main, front staircase is the addition of The Upper Deck sports lounge, presented by ESPN 100.9-FM. This area features outdoor seating areas and large, flat-screen TVs showing the evening's top national or regional game broadcast.
"With each new season, we are constantly striving to provide new and exciting innovations to improve the fan experience at Dow Diamond," said Loons President and General Manager Paul Barbeau. "This season, we are extremely excited about the additions of The Upper Deck and Pier 47, plus the additions of new ticket package options for our fans."
Single-game tickets for the 2009 season are on sale now and can be purchased at Loons.com, by phone at 989-837-BALL or in person at the Dow Diamond box office.
The Great Lakes Loons are the third-year Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers and members of the Midwest League. For more information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL.
