
What to Expect on Native American Heritage Night

The Bandits will celebrate the culture of local Native communities while honoring the indigenous history of lacrosse.
The Buffalo Bandits are proud to partner with Seneca Resorts and Casinos to host Native American Heritage Night when the Bandits welcome the Albany FireWolves to KeyBank Center on Saturday, Feb. 24.
The night will celebrate the culture of Native American groups in Western New York and Southern Ontario while honoring the indigenous history behind the game of lacrosse.
Faceoff against the FireWolves is set for 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available here.

Special-Edition Jerseys
Buffalo will wear specialty Native American Heritage jerseys designed by Bandits defenseman Frank Brown's sister, Alyson Brown. The jerseys and shorts are available to bid on at bandits.com/auction.

Beading Demonstration & Wooden Stick Sweepstakes
Native artist Jacky Snyder will present a beading demonstration in the east wing of the 100-level concourse ahead of the game to show how she constructs her custom-made bead creations, which have been worn by Bandits players in the past.
Fans will have the opportunity to enter a sweepstakes to win one of the medallions as well as a team-signed wooden stick to celebrate the origins of the game.
Native American Dancers
In celebration of the night, the Kantyohkwa dance group from the Haudenosaunee Confederacy will be performing Native American dances before and throughout the game.
Alumni Autograph Signing
Fans can also take part in a pregame alumni autograph signing held in the 200-level Seneca Sports Lounge and the 100-level Blue Zone.
Ceremonial Faceoff
A ceremonial faceoff will take place featuring Seneca Nation of Indians President Rickey L. Armstrong, Sr. and Native players from both teams.
Native American Heritage Scholarship
The Bandits will recognize the recipient of their annual Native American Scholarship during the game. The scholarship will be given to a student of Native American descent, who will be awarded $1,000.
Postgame Meet and Greet at Seneca Buffalo Creek
Following the game, members of the Bandits, Buffalo Bandettes dance team, and mascot Rax will be in attendance for a post-game party at Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino.
Fans must be 21 or older to attend and can enjoy drink specials and prize giveaways from 10:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.
