SAGINAW, MI. - Joe McCann, A.J. Jenks and Wes Cunningham each scored once to lead the Plymouth Whalers to a 3-1 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League pre-season game played at The Dow Event Center/Wendler Arena this afternoon.

Nick Palmieri scored the lone Otters goal. Erie completed the pre-season with a 0-3-2 record.

Plymouth was 5-1 in pre-season play.

Ryan Ludzik and Jeff Dawson split the goaltending duties for the Otters. Ludzik allowed one goal on 18 shots while Dawson surrendered two goals on 10 shots.

Erie led 1-0 after one. The two teams were tied at one heading into the third.

The Otters open the 2006-2007 OHL Regular Season on Friday September 22nd when they travel to Windsor to take on the Spitfires. The game can be heard live on 1330 Erie's ESPN Radio beginning with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m. The Otters complete their season-opening two-game road trip on Saturday, September 23rd in Plymouth against the Whalers. Single game tickets for the Otters home opener against the London Knights on Saturday, September 30th as well as the remaining 33 regular season home games are on sale now at all Erie-area TicketMaster locations as well as the Civic Center Box Office. Single game regular season ticket prices for the 2006-2007 season are $13.50 for platinum level seating and $11.50 for gold level seating. A child ticket is also available for $9.50 for children 12 and under in any seating section. All single season ticket prices include the City of Erie 3% Entertainment Tax.
