
Westchester Knicks Make Three Selections During 2021-22 NBA G League Draft

NEW YORK -ÃÂ The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, made three draft selections in Justin Turner (round one, 4th pick), Lydell Elmore (round two, 25th pick) and Asante Gist (round three, 4th pick) in the 2021-22 NBA G League Draft this afternoon.
Turner, 6'4 205, went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft following a five-year career at Bowling Green State University from 2016-21. After redshirting his freshman season with the Falcons nursing an injury, Turner shattered the program's freshman single season record in 2017-18 pouring in 492 points.
The guard was named to the NABC All-District for three consecutive seasons spanning 2019-21 for the first time in the program's history. The Detroit, MI. native also earned three-straight First Team All-MAC selections, ranked then-10th in Mid-American Conference men's basketball history with 2,077 career points. Turner started 115 games in the Orange and Brown since 2016 and averaged 19.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game as a graduate student.
Elmore, 6'9 189, was a three-year standout at division II Livingstone College before transferring to High Point for the 2020-21 season. The forward appeared in 24 games for the Panthers averaging 11.0 points on 48.9-percent to go along with 6.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 26.8 minutes. Elmore is native of Branchville, SC.
Gist, 5'10 185, began his collegiate career at Eastern Kentucky before redshirting his sophomore season in 2017-18 and ultimately transferring to Iona for his final three years of eligibility. With the Gaels, the East Orange, NJ native appeared in 64 games, starting 48 of them, and averaged 12.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists at guard.

The Westchester Knicks Training Camp will take place Monday, October 25 through Thursday, November 4. The Westchester Knicks will open its season on Friday, November 5 at Capital City at 7:00 PM ET.
