SANTA CRUZ - The Westchester Knicks (14-7), the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, grabbed their first-ever NBA D-League Showcase win with a 115-114 victory over the Reno Bighorns (11-8), the Sacramento Kings' affiliate.

Westchester opened up the game on a 24-6 run, with Knicks center Jordan Bachynski supplying a quick 10 points in the ride. The Bighorns chipped away at Westchester's 20-point high lead, running a 16-3 bout of their own at the end of the quarter to close the gap. The teams ended the first twelve minutes at 37-31, Westchester with the two possession advantage.

The Bighorns hit three shots from downtown in a row to cut the Knicks lead to one with just over three minutes to go in the second. A stolen pass from Mark Tyndale to David Stockton for the lay-up gave Reno its first lead of the game, but Westchester recovered on the next possession and held on to the lead 66-63 at the half.

A rough third quarter for the Knicks gave way to Reno's first lead of the game, as the Bighorns capitalized on 40 percent of their shots from downtown. Every Bighorn put points on the board in the quarter, a stark contrast to the Knicks who relied on Jordan Bachynski for eight of the team's 15 points.

Down 93-81 heading into the fourth, Westchester tied it back up midway through the fourth. The teams traded leads with Reno holding the advantage until a three-pointer from guard Jimmer Fredette put the Knicks back on top with under two minutes to go. A 34-point effort on 13-of-20 shooting solidified the comeback for Westchester as they completed the team's first-ever Showcase win, the final score 115-114.

It was a big day for Westchester's bigs, who combined for 13 of the team's 14 blocks. Jordan Bachynski paced the Knicks with 24 points, adding 12 rebounds for the double-double and also grabbing six boards. Jimmer Fredette finished with 21 points, six assists, three each of rebounds and steals, and one blocked shot. Travis Trice II notched 20 points and seven assists, while Darion Atkins nabbed a double-double of his own, finishing with 15 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, and four blocks.

Reno's Erick Green led all scorers with a game-high 37 points, going 12-for-17 and hitting 6-of-7 from beyond the arc. Vincent Hunter followed with 23 points, notching a double-double with 16 rebounds. David Stockton and Cliff Hammonds rounded out double-digits scoring for the Bighorns, with 17 and 15 points respectively.

The Westchester Knicks continue on the road to face the Iowa Energy, the Memphis Grizzlies' affiliate, for an 8:00 p.m. ET match-up on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016. The game will be broadcast live on MSG 2 and the NBA Development League's YouTube channel.
