Prince Albert Raiders News Release
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - For the second straight year, the Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to partner with the Prince Albert Kinsmen Club and 900 CKBI to present the Sportsmen Dinner, Friday, May 8th in the Ches Leach Lounge. Special guests for the event will include 2008 CFL All-Star running back Wes Cates and defensive lineman Marcus Adams from the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The event is a fundraiser with proceeds to support Kinsmen projects and the Raiders Education Fund.
Cates led the CFL in 2008 with 1,680 yards from scrimmage, was the League's Player of the Month in July, named to the CFL All-Star team and was the Riders nominee for Most Outstanding Player. Adams will be making his second trip of 2009 to PA after being part of the Rider entourage that attended a Raider game in February.
The PA Kinsmen Club is currently selling a number of sponsorship levels for the event, which will be all inclusive of food and beverage. Tables of 8 are $600, with other levels of sponsorship available. Individual tickets are $75 each. Sponsorship Packages are available from any Kinsmen member and tickets are available by calling the Raider Office at 764-GAME.
A major part of the evening will be the naming of the 900 CKBI/Kinsmen Male and Female Athletes of the Year and the Sportsman of the Year.
Nominees for the Male and Female Athlete of the Year and Sportsman of the Year are currently being accepted by Rawlco Radio. You can e-mail nominations to: panews@rawlco.com or drop them off at 1316 Central Avenue before May 1.
