'Chivas at the Park' series continues this Saturday, April 10 at Vista Hermosa
CHIVAS USA LOOKING TO GET BACK ON TRACK SATURDAY AGAINST RED BULLS: Chivas USA takes on the New York Red Bulls, winners of two straight to open the season, this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. PT at The Home Depot Center in Carson. The Red-and-White have started 2010 with a pair of close losses and are looking to kick start their offense against New York, who have yet to concede a goal this year. A special 'Kids Pack' is available for the match, giving fans one free kids ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket to the game, with prices starting as low as $15. Fans in attendance will also received a limited edition Chivas USA t-shirt, available to the first 5000 fans through the gates. 'MARCH TO THE MATCH' WITH BAND OF THE GAME AND FANS STARTS AT 11:30 ON SATURDAY: A new tradition has hit The Home Depot Center in 2010, with Chivas USA fans, the Union Ultras supporters group, and the Band of the Game (Compton High School this week), all gathering for the 'March to the Match.' With everyone making noise and getting ready for the match, all fans are encouraged to join the group when it leaves from Lot 11 at 11:30 a.m. PT on Saturday, continuing this new event which will occur prior to every home match the Red-and-White play. 'CHIVAS AT THE PARK' CONTINUES THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 10 AT VISTA HERMOSA: Chivas USA has kicked off the popular 'Chivas at the Park' program, and will continue the series of soccer clinics taking place in various parks throughout Los Angeles with a session this Saturday at Vista Hermosa park at 100 Toluca St. in Los Angeles. The clinics, which offer participating boys and girls ages 5-15 the opportunity to learn soccer techniques and practice drills that highlight teamwork in an environment that promotes the importance of fitness for the entire family, cost just $5 and include 90 minutes of soccer instruction, a Chivas at the Park t-shirt, and a certificate of completion. UNITED STATES UNDER-20 NATIONAL TEAM, WITH FOUR CHIVAS PLAYERS, PARTICIPATES AT DALLAS CUP: The United States Under-20 National Team has concluded its participation in the Dallas Cup, finishing with a 1-2 record. Four Chivas USA representatives were with the team for the tournament, including first team midfielder Cesar Zamora and U-18 Team members Ian Hines-Ike, Bryan de la Fuente and Ruben Gonzalez. Zamora and de la Fuente each started two matches and entered one a sub, while Gonzalez made two appearances (one start) and Hines-Ike made one start. CHIVAS USA YOUTH TEAMS TRAVEL TO SAN DIEGO TO FACE NOMADS SC: The Chivas USA Youth Teams had the weekend off and are preparing for next weekend's trip to San Diego to face Nomads SC on Saturday. The Chivas USA U-18's have a 3-0-1 record in their last four games, while the U-16's remain in second place in the SoCal Division with a 4-3-2 record, and a 9-4-6 overall record. The rosters and full schedule for the Chivas USA U-18 and U-16 teams, which compete in the 2009-10 U.S. Soccer Development Academy, can be found here for the U-18's, and for the U-16 Team here . CHIVAS DE GUADALAJARA TOPS CLUB AMÃRICA TO MAINTAIN LEAD IN MEXICAN FIRST DIVISION: A great individual effort by Guadalajara's Omar Arellano gave Chivas a 1-0 victory over rival Club América in the 'Clásico Nacional' in Mexico this Sunday, maintaining Guadalajara's overall lead in the Mexican First Division. Chivas has a 10-2-1 (W-L-T) record in this, the Bicentenario 2010 season, good for 31 points and a one point lead over Monterrey in the standings.
