RAPIDS HOST MONTREAL IMPACT THIS SATURDAY: The Colorado Rapids take on MLS expansion team Montreal Impact on Saturday, May 26 at 7 p.m. MT at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. RAPIDS WOMEN KICK OFF 2012 SEASON THIS SATURDAY: The Colorado Rapids women will begin the 2012 W-League season this Saturday, May 26 against Victoria Highlanders of the United Soccer Leagues W-League at Dick's Sporting Goods Park Field 20 at 4:30 p.m. Tickets to the match start at $7, and the game will be immediately followed by the Rapids vs. Montreal Impact at 7:00 p.m. in the stadium. Led by Australian head coach Daniel Clitnovici, the Rapids Women will play 14 matches this season, highlighted by home games against rivals Colorado Rush on June 20, and the Seattle Sounders Women on June 30. RAPIDS TO PLAY U.S. OPEN CUP THIRD ROUND MATCH NEXT TUESDAY: The Colorado Rapids will play their first 2012 U.S. Open Cup match on Tuesday, May 29 against either Jacksonville United or the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The Rowdies and United face off tomorrow night at 7 p.m. ET in Jacksonville, and depending on the result, the Rapids will travel to Tampa or host Jacksonville for their match the following week. TICKETS TO SWANSEA CITY FRIENDLY ON SALE THIS SATURDAY: Tickets to the July 24 matchup between Colorado Rapids and English Premier League side Swansea City will go on sale to the public this Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m. MT. Tickets to the match start at $22, and a special two-pack offer with the September 5 game against the Portland Timbers is available for $40. The Swans finished their 2011-12 Premier League season with an impressive 1-0 victory over 8th place Liverpool to give them a 12-15-11 record, good for 11th in the table. MASTROENI, CASEY, MOOR, PICKENS AND CASCIO TO APPEAR AT DICK'S SPORTING GOODS ON THURSDAY: Colorado Rapids players Pablo Mastroeni, Conor Casey, Drew Moor, Matt Pickens and Tony Cascio will be at the Dick's Sporting Goods in Belmar from 6-8 p.m. this Thursday, May 24 to meet with fans and support the On the Road with the Rapids contest. Fans can come to the store to sign up for the contest, meet the players, get autographs and Rapids swag, and also have a chance to receive a gift certificate to Dick's Sporting Goods. The On the Road with the Rapids contest is a Facebook photo competition, where the winner will a trip for two to Seattle to watch the Rapids battle the Sounders on July 7. DILLON SERNA IN PORTUGAL WITH U.S. U-18 NATIONAL TEAM: Rapids Academy midfielder Dillon Serna of Brighton is currently in Portugal with the United States U-18 National Team preparing for the Lisbon International Tournament, held from May 23-26. Serna left with the team on May 17 and played a friendly against the Sporting Lisbon youth team on May 19, which they tied 1-1. They next face Poland on Wednesday, and then Slovakia the next day before closing against host Portugal on May 26. For more information on the tournament and results, visit www.USsoccer.org

RAPIDS U-14 ACADEMY TEAM WINS COLORADO STATE CUP: The Colorado Rapids U-14 Boys Academy team defeated Real Colorado National 3-2 to become Colorado State Cup Champions yesterday. The Rapids were down 2-0 in the second half, and came back to tie the game before winning in overtime. The U-13 Boys also made it to the final in their age group, but fell 1-0 to Colorado Rush Nike.

RAPIDS DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY TEAMS UNDEFEATED IN WEEKEND PLAY: The Under-18 and U-16 Colorado Rapids Academy teams each earned a 1-0-1 record in U.S. Development Academy play this weekend. They tied Shattuck-Saint Mary's Soccer Academy, by scores of 0-0 for the U-18s and 1-1 for the U-16s, and then defeated Minnesota Thunder Academy 3-0 and 4-2 respectively. Both squads are off this coming weekend, and will play their last matches of the 2011-12 regular season on June 2, hosting St. Louis Scott Gallagher Missouri, and on June 5 against St. Louis Scott Gallagher Metro.
