ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 12-4-0-2 record (7-2-0-1 at home, 5-2-0-1 on the road, 0-0 in overtime, 2-2 in shootouts) and in first place in the CENTRAL DIVISION and tied for second in the WHLKOOTENAY was ranked number nine in the BMO CHL MASTERCARD TOP 10 RANKINGS for the week of November 1This week the ICE will play two of their three games on the road, starting November 11th in CALGARY.

GROW-VEMBER: For the month of November member of the KOOTENAY ICE will be growing their best facial hair in support of the CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY and MEN'S HEALTHFans are encouraged to grow their facial hair along with the team and email your best looks throughout the month to growvember@gmail.comThe ICE will have their facial hair shaved off at center ice following the game on November 20th.

JOEY LEACH, who played in his 100th career game with KOOTENAY on November 6 against the HITMEN, leads the ICE in plus and minus at plus 11KEVIN KING needs to record one more assist to reach 100 in his WHL careerCHRISTIAN MAGNUS needs to play in three more games to reach 100 games played with KOOTENAYBRAYDEN MCNABB was selected to play for TEAM WHL in PRINCE GEORGE on November 18 for the SUBWAY SUPER SERIES, this is the second year in a row that MCNABB has been named to TEAM WHL.
INJURIES: Forward BRENDAN HURLEY will be out of the ICE line up four to six weeks with a hand injuryDefenseman JAMES MARTIN will be out of the KOOTENAY line up two to four weeks with a facial injuryForward DREW CZERWONKA will be out of the ICE line up one to two weeks with a shoulder injuryDefenseman HAYDEN RINTOUL will be out of the KOOTENAY line up day to day with a shoulder injury.
ONE YEAR AGO: After 18 games of the 2009-2010 season the ICE were 7-11-0-, after 19 games 8-11-0-0 and after 20 games 8-11-1-0.
