Columbus Cottonmouths News Release
COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus Cottonmouths opened the 2012-13 season against the same team they closed it against as the Pensacola Ice Flyers visited the Snake Pit Friday night in a rematch of last season's championship series. After players on last season's team were handed out championship rings and the championship banner was raised to the rafters, the Cottonmouths went to work on defending their title and did so in a big way with a 4-0 opening game shutout. As with last week, this week also features just one game on the schedule as the Snakes hit the road for the first time this year to Fayetteville's Crown Coliseum to face the hometown FireAntz on Saturday night. The game will be broadcast on America One Networks with both a video and audio feed, with a nominal fee for each game. A free audio-only webcast of the games is also available. Details can be found at www.cottonmouths.com.
