
Week 7 Edition of "The Kurtiss Riggs Show" Packed with Guests

TONIGHT'S broadcast of "The Kurtiss Riggs Show" will feature numerous guests as the Storm are coming off their first bye week of the season. Guests on the show will include Storm offensive tackle Osaro Kyles, Storm Assistant Coach and former All-Star center John Semchenko, and UIF Executive Director Dakota Crow.
The show airs EVERY Wednesday from 5:30 PM-6:45 PM on AM 1230 KWSN as well as www.kwsn.com. Storm Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs and "The Voice of the Storm" Rich Roste will discuss the Storm's bye week and all of the advantages and disadvantages that go with having a bye. The Storm are heading into Week 7 play with a 5-0 record. Roste and Riggs will also look forward to Saturday's game in Fort Collins, CO as the Storm battle the Colorado Ice.
Kyles was recently lost for the year after tearing his ACL on April 7 vs. Sioux City. Kyles started all three games before his injury. The former Dakota Wesleyan athlete who started 12 games for the Storm in 2006. Kyles helped anchor an offensive line that only allowed 10 sacks in 17 games during the 2006 season. This was Kyles' third season with the Storm.
Semchenko starred for the Storm from 2001-2006. Semchenko will go down as one of the best players to ever suit up for the Storm as he was an All-NIFL selection in 2004 as well an All-UIF First Team selection in 2006. Semchenko was also named the 2006 UIF Co-Man of the Year. The Man of the Year was given to the UIF player who best exemplified strong character and attitude along with a strong sense of community pride and involvement.
Crow is in his third season as Executive Director of the UIF and has seen the league prosper since it's inception in the winter of 2004. Crow will give a state of the league report and discuss what he and the league front office has been up to in the early part of the season.
The Storm will hit the road for their next game for their first ever match-up with the Colorado Ice. The game can be heard on AM 1230 KWSN with pre-game action starting at 7:45 PM and kick-off at 8:05. You can also listen to the game by logging on to www.siouxfallsstorm.com and clicking on LISTEN LIVE. The Sioux City Bandits will be the next victim to enter the "Storm Shelter" on Saturday May 12.
