
UIF names players of the week
May 2, 2007 - United Indoor Football Association (UIF) News Release
Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football is pleased to announce that Haven Mosley, Michael Bazemore and Richard Johnson have been named the three Players of the Week for week six. Mosley led the BlueCats to a victory over the Greyhounds to receive Offensive Player of the Week. Bazemore was voted as the Defensive Player of the Week for his play against the Bandits. Johnson of the Evansville BlueCats, has been named Special Teams Players of the Week, for his play against the Greyhounds.
Haven Mosley (EVA) went 17-24 passing for 239 yards and connected with four different receivers for touchdowns. Mosley also had 19 rushing yards and one rushing TD. The BlueCats have a bye this week.
Michael Bazemore (BIL) had 7.5 total tackles (4.5 tackles for loss) and three sacks against the Sioux City Bandits for the Outlaws' first win. The Outlaws have a bye this week.
Richard Johnson (EVA) had two kick returns for 37 yards, three receptions for 46 yards and one TD and one solo tackle.
Receiving Week Six Honorable Mentions are: Offense, Glenn Johnson (BLO); Defense, Choo Choo Davis (EVA); and Special Teams, Dorian Pitts (BLO).
