THOMAS OWENS - OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Wide receiver Thomas Owens received his second Offensive Player of the Week nod after his dominant performance against the Bismarck Bucks. Owens had eight receptions for a season-high 147 yards and three touchdowns. It didn't take long for Owens to make his presence felt, as the Pirates scored on their first offensive play of the game when QB Alejandro Benefield connected with Owens on a 27-yard touchdown pass. Owens leads the league in yards per game, averaging 71.9 yards, and total receptions with 46 on the year.
